Stubbs has always loved style so consequently became a menswear stylist, and writer. Having pursued women’s wear design at Middlesex University he moved into men’s styling working on pivotal Nineties men's magazine brand Loaded during its fledgling years as stylist, then later as Fashion Editor and journalist. Stubbs began writing for The Sunday Times Style in 2000, becoming Style’s first menswear columnist with ‘Talking Trousers’. An eight year stint as The FT How To Spend It's 'The Sharpener' men’s style & luxury columnist followed, while working as Contributing Fashion Editor to British GQ, and Editor at Large for The Rake magazine for over a decade. Spelling and grammar continue to allude him, however. Stubbs presides over style profiles of various media men, musicians and film actors, alongside guiding numerous well-dressed private clients.
